Today is October 13th, and 13 has a bit of a reputation. So I'm leaning into it, just for fun: a childhood lucky charm for every zodiac sign, plus one small way to make your own luck.
The mood ring. The cootie catcher. The penny for the wishing fountain. We all carried something growing up, so I picked the one that fits each sign best. And because a charm never did the work on its own, every sign also gets a little self-care ritual and the day of the week that's traditionally theirs.
No predictions here, and nothing you have to believe. Your sign is just a fun way to choose.

Every day of the week is named for a planet, and every zodiac sign has a ruling planet. So your lucky day is the day that belongs to your sign's planet. It's an old idea, and you can still hear it in the day names: Sunday for the Sun, Monday for the Moon, Saturday for Saturn, and in Spanish, martes (Tuesday) for Mars.

Why is 13 considered unlucky?
It's one of the most widely held superstitions in the US, which is why plenty of buildings skip a 13th floor. No one agrees on where it started. Here, it's just a fun excuse to make our own luck.

Aries and Scorpio: Tuesday. Taurus and Libra: Friday. Gemini and Virgo: Wednesday. Cancer: Monday. Leo: Sunday. Sagittarius and Pisces: Thursday. Capricorn and Aquarius: Saturday.
Why do Scorpio, Aquarius and Pisces share days with other signs?
The days of the week come from the seven classical planets, the ones visible without a telescope (counting the Sun and Moon). Scorpio, Aquarius and Pisces go by their traditional rulers (Mars, Saturn and Jupiter), since their modern rulers, Pluto, Uranus and Neptune, don't have days of their own.
Should I use my sun, moon or rising sign?
All three. Your sun sign is the one most people know, your moon sign is the self-care sign, and your rising is how you show up. Three charms, three rituals.
