your september, the practical version: the 5 days worth circling

september self-care guide - the five days worth circling

hi, i'm Stepha - founder and creator of Glow Girl Wellness

i started this space because i wanted a version of wellness that actually fits how women live. not another five-step morning routine. not another list of things to be doing. just warm, practical rituals with a cosmic lens - the kind of guidance you'd get from a friend who happens to know a little about your chart.

this one is your september, the practical version: the few days that actually matter, what's happening on each, and one small thing to do about it. save it, circle your dates, and let it move with you.

september is Self-Care Awareness Month. yes, that's a real thing - one of those declared-by-a-calendar observances - but honestly? i'll take the excuse.

because there's something about september. the light changes, the notebooks go on sale, and everyone you know is suddenly planning a whole new life by friday. if the "lock in" energy on your feed is already a lot: this guide is the other version. not thirty days of discipline. five days worth circling, what's actually happening on each, what it tends to feel like, and one small thing to do about it.

no predictions. no overhaul. nothing here requires believing anything - the sky is just the calendar i use. the self-care is the point.

the shape of september (before we get to the dates)

here's the honest version: no eclipse this month, no Mercury retrograde. but it's not a quiet month either. september has a slow start, a big middle, and a genuinely fun finish - and once you know that shape, you can stop trying to force the wrong week to be productive.

the five days: september 1, 4, 10, 22, and 26. the 10th is the big one. circle it now; i'll wait.

september 1 · the day everything takes longer

what's happening: Mars squares Saturn, exact on the 1st and hanging around through the weekend. in plain words: the gas pedal and the brake, pressed at the same time.

what it feels like: the first day of the month arrives with fresh-start energy, and then everything takes twice as long as it should. emails, errands, decisions. that's not you failing september on day one. that's the weather.

the small thing: eat one meal sitting down, and let the day be slow. plate, table, ten minutes. the month starts the unrushed way, and the unrushed way still counts.

september 4 · the edit, not the overhaul

what's happening: the last quarter moon in Gemini, 12:53am pt. the checkpoint between last month's full moon and this month's new one - traditionally the "release" beat of the lunar cycle.

what it feels like: mental clutter. open tabs, half-written replies, plans you're not actually going to keep. Gemini is the sign of the seventeen open tabs, which is exactly why this checkpoint lands there.

the small thing: cut one thing in half. the list, the plans, the tabs. you're not overhauling anything this week - you're editing. there's a difference, and the difference is why it actually happens.

(these first two dates fall in week one - the full seven-day version lives in this week's map on Instagram, one small ritual per day, posted every monday.)

september 10 · the busiest night of the month

what's happening: four things in one night. a new moon in Virgo at 8:29pm pt. Venus moves into Scorpio. Mercury moves into Libra. and Uranus turns retrograde in Gemini. even the sky batches its errands.

what it feels like: a lot shifting at once - feelings getting deeper, conversations getting fairer, and a strong urge to fix something. Virgo new moons are the tidy kind of fresh start: not "new life," but "why have i been living with this broken routine since march?"

the small thing: give the thing you lose every week a home. keys, charger, the good hair tie - a bowl by the door, tonight. that's a system. you're done.

five prompts if you want to go one layer deeper (answer any time before the 10th, one line each):

  1. what routine is quietly annoying me?
  2. what am i always looking for? (keys, charger, the good pen.)
  3. where would ten minutes a day actually help?
  4. what's the smallest fix i keep postponing?
  5. what's working that i should just do more of?

glow tip for the 10th

Virgo new moons reward the routine you'll actually keep - which is why my own version is the smallest one i have: a scoop of Radiance Grass-Fed Hydrolyzed Collagen Peptides stirred into the iced coffee i was already making. one move, already attached to a habit, showing up in the mirror by the equinox. shop Radiance here

september 22 · the equinox letter

what's happening: the autumn equinox at 5:05pm pt. day and night, exactly equal - and then the evenings start winning. Libra season begins, and with it the sky's annual balance check.

what it feels like: the real season change. even people who never look up feel this one - the light goes golden, the mornings sharpen, and staying in starts sounding like a plan instead of a consolation.

the small thing: write yourself a short balance letter, dated september 22. three lines: one thing that's taking more than its share of you, one thing that deserves more than it's getting, and one hour you'll move from the first to the second. set a reminder for 5:05pm. let the sky's rebalance be yours too.

september 26 · the fun one

what's happening: a full moon in Aries, peaking at 9:49am pt on a saturday morning. Aries is the sign of you - first, bold, a little impatient - and a full moon there is the month's big finish.

what it feels like: energy, honestly. the urge to do the thing, say the thing, order the thing you actually want instead of the safe one.

the small thing - the full moon weekend checklist:

  • take yourself out saturday morning (the moon peaks at 9:49am; you'll be up for it anyway)
  • make the first move on the thing you've been circling since summer
  • order what you actually want, not the safe thing
  • send the compliment you didn't say out loud

and skip: the small argument, and the big decision before monday. the whole point is that it's fun.

if astrology isn't your lens

then read it this way: september has a slow first week, a strong middle, a season change on the 22nd, and a great excuse for a saturday morning out on the 26th. every small thing above works exactly the same whether you follow the sky or just the calendar. the timing is the bonus - it always was.

that's also the spirit of Self-Care Awareness Month, if you want the wellness-first version of all this: not a month of grand gestures, but thirty days where the small thing, done on purpose, counts. one meal sitting down. one bowl by the door. one letter to yourself at 5:05 on a tuesday.

how to use this guide

save this post. circle the five dates in whatever calendar you actually look at. come back on each one - the sections are short on purpose, because the doing matters more than the reading.

you don't have to do all five. one date, one small thing, done - that's a september practice. pick the ones that feel like a genuine "yes" and let those be enough.

this guide is the companion to two things: the weekly map - one small ritual per day, every monday on Instagram - and the Virgo season curriculum, the gentle version of the season everyone else treats like a crackdown, running through september 22.

circle your five days. do the small things. let the rest of the month be ordinary on purpose - the quiet days always end up doing more than they looked like they were doing.

if any of this landed for you, tell me on Instagram @theglowgirlwellness - which of the five are you circling first? i read every DM and comment, and this account is genuinely a two-way conversation, not a broadcast.

and if you're new here - welcome. i'm so glad you found this space. come sit for a while 💖
